A Celebration of African Diaspora Culture & Fundraiser for Our Sankofa Scholars Program
Metropolitan Baptist Church, 1021 Halifax Street, Petersburg, VA
The Sankofa Diaspora Fest is more than an event—it’s a cultural homecoming. Join us for a day of vibrant celebration as we honor the richness, resilience, and unity of the African diaspora.
This community-driven festival will bring together people from all walks of life for music, art, storytelling, and dance that reflect the heartbeat of our shared heritage.
Your participation helps support the Sankofa Scholars Program—an initiative empowering young people to explore Africa, connect with their roots, and build bridges across cultures.
Our goal is to raise enough funds to send 10 students from Petersburg High School to Ghana in the Summer of 2026.
